Electrostatic oil cleaners
Functional Features

The KLEENTEK electrostatic cleaner:

  • Works as a bypass system on the oil tank, 24 hours a day
  • Has no pressure inside and does not get clogged, also when dealing with highly contaminated oils. This means it poses no safety problems (vibration, pipe failure, oil leaks, etc.) and requires no control or supervision
  • The collectors (spare cartridges) are able to withhold huge quantities of contaminates (incredible amounts compared with traditional filters). A KLEENTEK collector can withhold several kilograms of impurities without getting clogged. This results in a very long service life and greatly reduced operating costs
  • It is an extremely sensitive and reliable detector for humidity and water in the oil. In the presence of humidity, in fact, current (which in normal conditions is nil, since the oil is an insulating material) will flow between the electrodes of the collector. The current (in mA) appears on the control panel ammeter. When the current exceeds 15/20 mA (corresponding to ca 500 ppm of water) the cleaner trips.
This amounts to being able to rely on continuous monitoring and to take action in real time when water leaks occur, for whatsoever reason. As is known, water is one of the most harmful contaminants, for the oil itself and for the circuits: the cleaner is able to remove water as long its quantity does not exceed 500 ppm
  • Since it does not undergo a traditional filtration process, the oil is not electrostatically charged and hence does not promote the phenomenon of spark discharge in the circuits, which causes oil deterioration and oxidation. This makes for optimal oil service life
  • The additives contained in the oil are not removed, in any way and any quantity
  • It does not affect the chemical composition of the oil
  • It takes up very little space, making for ease of use in any application
  • Overall power intake is extremely reduced: from 150 to 1300 Watt. This means negligible energy costs
  • Has a small flow rate. This means it works in by-pass without interfering in any way with the operation of the system it is connected to
  • It is extremely sturdy, dependable and indestructible. Thousands of KLEENTEK cleaners have been in operation for years without any problems
  • It has no specific maintenance requirements. This means no unexpected costs

Installation and use

The KLEENTEK electrostatic cleaner works as a bypass system and therefore may be connected and disconnected without having to stop the machine or interrupt the production cycle. The pump fitted to the cleaner creates a continuous oil flow independent of and external to the machine circuits: the oil is pumped into the tank, goes through the cleaner and returns to the tank.

Fixed cleaner

The cleaner may be used for a continuous cleaning action on the oil of a single tank, for example, in the case of turbines and presses using huge quantities of oil.

Wheel-mounted cleaner

When used on many tanks with relatively small quantities of oil, the cleaner is used on the different tanks by turns.

Unique technology

The KLEENTEK electrostatic cleaner embodies the only technology that:
  • Cleans the oil by making exclusive use of electrostatic forces, without any filtering elements
  • Removes from the oil all types of contaminant, regardless of the size and nature of the particles, and therefore is the only technology that can remove from the oil its insoluble oxidation products, the so-called "sludge"
  • Cleaned in this manner, the oil itself removes all contaminant deposits from the circuits, keeping all components (valves, pumps, filters, etc.) perfectly clean
  • Ensures a significant increase in the service life of the oil
  • Oil is no longer viewed as a consumable, but rather as a valuable technological fluid and a durable good to be maintained in the best possible condition over time
